A mild but windy day is on tap for the region tomorrow as a frontal boundary cuts through the Northeast. While the air behind the front will be colder, the shot of chill will be short-lived and won't be that biting. The winds of change will be mild but gusty tomorrow as the front blows through the region.
Tonight: Variably cloudy overnight and pretty mild in comparison to past nights. Lows will range from 30 in the Lehigh Valley to the upper 30's to the south of the city. Winds will be light at around 5 mph.
Monday: There could be a passing shower in the morning as the frontal boundary works through. Otherwise, expect winds and a mix of sun and clouds during the day. Temperatures will spike quickly during the morning in response to winds blowing downhill off of the Appalachians, with temperatures in the afternoon ranging from around 50 north and west of the city to the low 60's in Central and Southern Delaware and Interior South Jersey. Philly should top out in the mid 50's. Winds will be gusty in the afternoon, perhaps to over 40 mph, with sustained 15-25 mph breezes from the west.
The Week Ahead: Variable, generally mild overall, and warm for at least a couple of days. After a seasonable Tuesday, warmth will march back on Wednesday and beyond. Wednesday could feature some clouds from midday on as warm air marches back into the region, with the brunt of warmth expected on Thursday and Friday. If everything breaks right on Friday, we could hit 65 in the city during the afternoon. The warm wave will end on Saturday as a cold front crosses with morning showers and a gusty northwest wind in the afternoon that will send us back to reality for the beginning of the new week.
