February 9th, 2011 Forecast

Tonight: A bitter cold wind with gusts to 40 mph at times, especially in the evening, under mostly clear skies. Lows will drop to around 15 degrees in Center City with 10 to 14 degrees expected to the north and west. The sunset this evening is at 5:28 PM.

Wednesday: Breezy and colder under mostly sunny skies. Winds will continue to gust around 25 mph. The high will be near 32 degrees in Philadelphia.

Thursday: Few clouds and cold with highs only in the upper 20s.

Friday: There will be a warming trend Friday through Monday with temperatures 4 or 5 degrees warmer each day. Expect bright sun on Friday with a high near 37 degrees. Temperatures will climb into the lower 50s by the end of this warming trend on Monday. Did Punxsutawney Phil bring us an early spring ? Temperatures beyond Monday still look mild in the 40s and 50s.
