Windy conditions will likely continue into this evening. Yesterday the temperatures ended up being higher than the guidance and today they were well behind the guidance. A few snow squalls and snow/rain showers have been affecting our northern counties. The strong northwest flow could continue to cause a few snow showers this evening.
The cold front responsible for the strong winds will reverse itself on Sunday as a warm front and rise through our region. The front will produce quite a few clouds on Sunday and could even produce some snow or rain showers. During the daytime hours, it could get quite breezy with the southerly flow. The winds should diminish once daytime heating ends on Sunday Evening. As there will be some increasing low level moisture, the diminishing wind could make it favorable for some fog to develop into Monday Morning.
Another cold front pushes through our region on Monday and there is another chance for scattered rain showers. The cold front on Monday could produce wind gusts up to 50 MPH. Ahead of it there could be strong southwest wind gusts and behind it there could be some strong northwest wind gusts. I would not be surprised if a wind advisory is issued for Monday. Monday will likely be mild with a stronger southwest flow ahead of the boundary with an afternoon temperature drop possible. We briefly will see a cool down on Tuesday and Wednesday, before a sharp rise in temperature occurs late in the week. The warm air advection could be accompanied by some clouds and possible showers. We could definitely observe the highest daytime maximum temperatures in more than three months Thursday through Saturday. Another cold front will arrive over the weekend. With maximums perhaps above 60 degrees, it could bring some thunderstorms in addition to rain showers.
