Winter Storm Warnings City & South Tonight

More precipitation is forthcoming tonight as the second wave of the storm marches through with more light rain, transitioning to snow this evening.  Accumulations are likely with wave #2, especially around town and points south and west.  Areas to the north which received snow last night likely will not see much from tonight's wave.  A couple of cold days are likely in the wake of the upcoming storm before we moderate in advance of more rain later on this week.

Tonight:   Light rain transitions over to snow this evening, with snowfall totals higher to the south and west of the city compared to the east and north.  Around the city and in South Jersey, we're anticipating 1-3" of snow, with 2-4" possible in Delaware and Central Pennsylvania.   Light snow should taper off towards morning.  Lows will range from the teens in the Lehigh Valley to the mid 20's in Philadelphia and points south. North breezes will blow at 10-15 mph.

Tuesday:  Clouds, perhaps a bit of lingering snow in South Jersey, followed by increasing amounts of sunshine.   Temperatures tomorrow will be chilly, accompanied by a chilly north breeze at 10-15 mph and temperatures in the mid 30's for highs.

We'll provide an updated snowfall forecast for tonight later this afternoon or early this evening.
