February 17th, 2011 Forecast

Despite the high clouds, it was a milder day in the region as the advance of cold air ground to a halt and began an earnest (but short-lived) retreat.   It's going to get a good bit warmer tomorrow, with even milder weather in store for Friday.

Tonight:   Some high clouds pass through the region as mild air builds in.  It will not be as cold as the past couple of nights as low temperatures drop generally into the 30's across the region, with some upper 20's possible in the Lehigh Valley.

Thursday:   Sun, mixed with passing high clouds, and temperatures about 10 degrees warmer than they'll end up today.   Enjoy the highs around 60 in Philadelphia, potentially in the low 60's in South Jersey and Delaware, with mid and upper 50's to the north/west.  Windows down in the car during the afternoon?   Jogging along Kelly Drive?   Those of us who aren't "brave" to do either in colder weather should be able to enjoy the warmth tomorrow.

We'll talk more about the record breakdown for Friday in a post later this evening.
