It wasn't a record today (that was 68) but we were darn close to breaking one in Philly today (high of 66) and in Atlantic City (high of 69, record of 70). Records were tied today in three locations: Reading (64), Trenton (67), and Newark NJ (66) on what is the warmest day so far in 2011 and the warmest day since mid November in Philadelphia. We'll probably top this tomorrow by a couple of degrees in many locations as we spend one more day in the warmth before we're fronted with reality in the form of a cold front tomorrow evening.
The only places not to reach at least 60 were in Northeastern Pennsylvania thanks to some dwindling snow cover and elevation -- highs only got to 57 in Scranton and Mount Pocono.
