The signs of spring continue to manifest themselves around the Delaware Valley. Today's reporting of pitchers and catchers to Clearwater, FL, marks the "official" first major sign of eventual warmth.
Or does it, at least as far as Clearwater is concerned.
A chilly night awaits those aces and catchers tonight in the Clearwater region as the influences of high pressure, light winds, and clear skies will allow temperatures to crater after sunset. Frost is possible away from metropolitan Tampa Bay overnight, while lows tomorrow morning in Clearwater will probably be in the lower or middle 40's, close to ten degrees below average for the Tampa area for this time of the year.
The NWS projects a pretty seasonable week forthcoming -- temperatures generally in the 60's and low 70's daily for highs and gradually nudging above 50 at night. Arguably more tolerable than the chill we've sustained for the last nine weeks if you like it warm.
