Fit To Be Tied

Lots of records in lots of places -- and just a tied record in Philadelphia today.  Today's high of 69 degrees merely tied the record that goes back to 1891 and has been tied a few times since then.   While warm, it isn't the first 70 of the year -- still the warmest since late October though and an impressively mild day around these parts.  Records were also tied in Trenton and Harrisburg.

However, records were broken in Newark (71), Atlantic City (72), Reading (71), Allentown (67), and Washington (77) today...generally everyone except the mountains were in the upper 60's or low 70's...average highs that are more common in early May and not in mid February.

Philadelphia missed the record warm low for the day as well -- the low this morning was 45 degrees  and the record warm low is 49.
