February 12th and 13th, 2011 Forecast

After this morning's chilly start a slow, gradual moderation in temperatures is on the way.   It won't be overly noticeable tomorrow as temperatures plus breezes will still bring a chill to the air.  By Sunday, however, enough warmth will nose into the region that it won't feel all that terrible out.  By next week at this time, everyone but the hardiest of snow lovers will be in fits of Spring Fever.

Tonight:   Skies will feature passing high and mid level clouds overnight, with temperatures not as cold as last night.  Lows range from 18 in the Lehigh Valley to 24 in the city with light winds.

Saturday:  A weak disturbance passes to our north but the interaction between that and high pressure to the south will help increase winds across the Mid Atlantic.  West winds at 12-18 mph will help moderate us somewhat, with high temperatures generally in the upper 30's north to low/mid 40's south.  A few flurries are possible over the Poconos, especially in the morning hours.   Saturday night features less wind and a partly cloudy sky, with lows between 23 and 29.

Sunday:  The mild push continues with another clipper low passing to the north of us funneling a bit milder air northward.  With a mix of sun and clouds we should see temperatures approach 50 from the city on south, with mid 40's north of the city.  Breezy at times but a bit less wind compared to Saturday (10-15 mph on average).
