April 2nd and 3rd, 2011 Forecast

Not the greatest of weekends but the first weekend of April should feature improving weather as today's storm system pulls away.   The weather will remain marginally unsettled through Saturday, meaning there could be a shower or flurry tonight and even tomorrow with the April sun working the atmosphere up a bit, but by and large variably cloudy skies will dominate the weather over the next 24 hours.  It will be breezy, especially on Saturday as winds could gust over 20 mph at times.

Sunday will be the better of the two days this weekend as high pressure builds somewhat through the region.  Expect a mostly sunny sky, with some high clouds possible late in advance of Monday's shot of rain.   Winds will be quite light on Sunday, generally around 5 mph.

Temperatures at night both tonight and tomorrow night drop into the mid 30's, with highs on Saturday in the lower and middle 50's, on Sunday in the middle 50's.

We'll talk this weekend about Monday's rain and potential warmth (that could result in a rather warm Tuesday...that remains to be determined) in advance of a storm system that will bring another shot of rain to the region.
