A frontal boundary stalls across the region, providing an avenue for a pair of weak disturbances to track east over the next 24 hours across the region. The first disturbance tracks through this evening, with the best chances for shower activity generally north of the city. The first disturbance nudges the front a bit southward and generally right over the Philly area. Disturbance #2 tracks east on Tuesday, bringing shower chances back into the region for the afternoon and evening hours as the front meanders over us. Neither disturbance will result in a washout of rain but a quarter inch or so can't be ruled out between now and tomorrow night.
Temperatures will be mild tonight as clouds and the front lurk in the area. Low temperatures should only drop into the upper 40's and low 50's in many locations. Tuesday's highs will vary on location -- places north of the city might not reach 60 as they will be north of the front while parts of South Jersey and Delaware could reach 70 or even a bit higher as they will reside in the warmer sector to the south of the frontal boundary. This is a fickle front that could ultimately nudge farther north or south and thus screw up temperature forecasts for any one location but as of now expect cooler temperatures north, near 70 south. Winds will be light regardless.
We'll update the front and shower chances later tonight and again on Tuesday morning.
