April 20th, 2011 Forecast

So it's late April...it has officially been spring for about a month now. That doesn't mean anything for Central New York. Here in Oswego, we got SNOW the past 2 days. It snowed for about 4 hours straight on Monday afternoon with temperatures in the mid-30s. No snow up here today; in fact, it may reach into the lower to mid-50s in Oswego on Wednesday, but Syracuse will be about 10 degrees warmer (thanks to a cold Lake Ontario). Lower 80s for Philadelphia on Wednesday sounds fantastic to me right about now !

Tonight: Outside of an evening shower or thunderstorm, expect a mild night under plenty of clouds. Lows will drop into the mid-50s with east winds 5 to 15 mph. The chance of rain is about 40 percent. The sunset tonight is at 7:43 PM.

Wednesday: Very warm and breezy with hazy sun. There is a 40 percent chance of a pop-up thunderstorm late in the day. The high will be near 81 degrees. East winds will shift from the southwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 25 mph.

Thursday: Cooler and breezy under mostly sunny skies. Wind gusts around 30 mph. The high temperature will be near 64 degrees.

Friday: Sun to clouds with showers late. Cool with a high only around 59 degrees. The chance of rain is about 40 percent. It will warm up again for the weekend.
