Rain and dreary weather are upon us tonight and early tomorrow but warmth is coming...and this warmth may last a few days and hasten the march of Spring and Spring allergies. Rain will spread through overnight tonight, totaling as much as an inch in some locations to the city's north over higher terrain. Rainfall lasts through midday tomorrow as a warm front trudges slowly northeast into Pennsylvania. This warm front will bring a more humid and mild Saturday afternoon and evening to the region, with temperatures rising into the 60's away from the Shore.
The warm front has a wave of low pressure attached along with it and the low will move through Pennsylvania, dragging the frontal boundary back towards Philadelphia on Easter Sunday with a few thunderstorms possible during the day as the front slips back south. Thunderstorms won't be widespread but a scattering of storms will be about as the frontal boundary lurks across the region on Easter Sunday and into Monday. With less rainfall expected on Sunday, temperatures will be a bit milder across the region on Easter Sunday and will range from the upper 60's to the city's north and at the Shore to the mid 70's around Philadelphia.
It'll get warmer next week and we could perhaps coax our first back-to-back 80 degree days of the year on Tuesday and Wednesday! We'll talk about that potential warm wave later on this weekend.
