Today's upper level system will be a semi-distant memory by this time tomorrow. Yes, the sun will return...for two days in fact! It won't be the most memorable stretch of nice weather we ever had but we should be able to cobble together a dry Thursday and Friday before this weekend...and the potential for more rain.
Showers that are about the region this afternoon will depart this evening, leading to a mostly cloudy night with some patchy fog in spots especially in areas that clear out a bit more overnight. Any lingering clouds in the morning on Thursday will quickly burn off and skies will end up mostly sunny on Thursday. Temperatures will respond in kind to the returning sunshine, with high temperatures tomorrow afternoon in the mid 60's in many locations, a much milder ending compared to a cool start in the lower and middle 40's tomorrow morning.
Winds tonight will generally be from the west or northwest at 10 mph, with northwest winds at 10-15 mph for Thursday.
We'll talk about Saturday's storm system later on this evening.
