An upper level disturbance will move through the region tomorrow and agitate the atmosphere enough to fire up a few showers, perhaps with a rumble of thunder in the strongest of showers. Nothing nasty is on tap but some ball games, outdoor activities, and outdoor dining could contend with a few 20 minute showers during the 2-9 PM time frame from west to east across the region.
Tomorrow will feature warmer temperatures -- most places near or just above 70 degrees -- with a less gusty, but still breezy day on tap as winds nudge around to the west and southwest at 12-16 mph. Skies will feature a mix of sun and clouds, with more sunshine expected in the morning than in the afternoon. We'll start off cool with temperatures in the 30's in the Lehigh Valley and north (frost possible in the Poconos tonight), with 40's elsewhere.
Weekend Sneak Peek: Of the two days, Saturday right now looks to be the better of the two days. There could be a pop up shower in the afternoon due to daytime heating and and less-than-stable atmosphere despite the nearby presence of high pressure. However, the odds for that are relatively low at this point. Sunday features a better chance of more widespread showers and storms as another disturbance tracks through the region along the main jet stream. Best shower/storm chances appear to be south of Philly at this point but everyone could see some scattered showers at some point on Sunday. Temperatures will not be too bad -- low 70's for most on Saturday, mainly upper 60's to near 70 if we coax a few dry hours out of Sunday.
