Our 1 AM temperature was 67 degrees, which will likely come in as the day's high temperature. We've had a few of these "midnight" highs so far this Spring, with cool fronts inching through the region during the morning hours and temperatures sliding back during the morning to a cooler daytime level. Showers today have aided in the cooling, and settling of the pollen in the atmosphere, providing some temporary relief for allergy sufferers around the region. Alas, pollen levels will quickly bounce higher tomorrow as northwest breezes pick up and whip the trees and flowers into sending some pollen into the air.
Skies will clear off gradually later, altogether later tonight, as temperatures drop into the upper 30's in the coolest of burbs and drop into the mid 40's in Philly. Winds pick up tomorrow, increasing to 12-18 mph with higher gusts from the northwest, as low pressure moves into New England and intensifies. Temperatures tomorrow afternoon will top out in the mid and upper 60's under a mostly sunny sky...or at worst a mix of sun and clouds.
We'll talk about the next chance of precipitation -- on Friday -- later on this evening.
