May 12th, 2011 Forecast

Thursday and Friday are shaping up as the nicest days of the coming week, with Thursday perhaps the warmest of the stretch of wonderful weather that we've been treated to as temperatures tomorrow should get into the mid 70's in most inland areas with tons of sunshine.   The northerly winds of the past few days will subside tonight and generally calm conditions will treat us for Thursday as we enter a weak bubble of surface high pressure between the coastal storm in the Atlantic and an upper low that will begin its eastward crawl towards us for this weekend.

Tonight will be clear, calm, cool, with lows in the 40's and low 50's -- again, very similar to past nights.

Unfortunately, the rinse-and-repeat pattern that we've had this week will not last forever -- showers are possible on Saturday, with a better chance for thunderstorms as we work into Sunday and then again for the early parts of next week.  The forecast after Friday is somewhat fluid and very dependent on how close the upper level feature in the Midwest can get to us, especially for the weekend.  Until then, however, we have two nice days ahead of us.
