From 90's To Frost Advisories...Only In Pennsylvania
Parts of Pennsylvania were flirting with 90 degrees yesterday and have frost advisories out tonight. While it may be the Northern Tier and the "Endless Mountains" (beautiful part of the state if you haven't been), it's still a bit of a shock to the system to go from 90's with humidity levels not far behind to low 80's with dewpoints below 40 degrees. It definitely is different seeing a deep blue sky and a total lack of haze in the atmosphere. Funny how a stiff westerly and northwesterly breeze will clean out the junk, humidity, and heat from the atmosphere.
Thankfully, the frost should stay safely to our north and not impact us. However, it would not surprise me to see low temperatures by morning in the lower 40's in the Poconos. Even in the cooler suburbs of Philadelphia we should see low temperatures drop into the upper 40's late tonight. Refreshing...dare I say...even brisk tonight?
