Turning It Down A Notch

After last night's thunderstorms provided some strong winds and some damage to parts of the area, a cooler night ensued through the Delaware Valley.   While it is still rather muggy out as dewpoints are in the 65-70 range, we're looking at morning temperatures this morning in the upper 60's and lower 70's as opposed to the mid and upper 70's.   We'll take relief in any way we can...however incremental it needs to be.

Today's weather features that incremental drop in temperature continuing as temperatures this afternoon approach or just pass 90 degrees.   While it will still be quite muggy and borderline hot, it's not 99 or 102 degrees.   With a stalling frontal boundary over the region there will be a chance of afternoon and evening thunder across the region.   Any storm development will be scattered to isolated as the atmospheric disturbance that was around yesterday has departed the region and we're merely dealing with a weakening frontal boundary to provide the atmospheric spark.   Any thunder development will take place after 2 PM this afternoon.
