March 4th, 2011 Forecast

As quick as we cooled off with today's reminder of winter, we'll begin our rebound towards less harsh weather tomorrow as warmer air resumes its northward advance.   The downside of the warmth will be increasing clouds and not as much sunshine but it will be close or over 60 by Saturday in the region...I guess we'll take less cold however we can get it.

Tonight:   Clear to start, with some high clouds moving in after midnight.  Lows will range from the teens in the usual suspect colder spots to the mid 20's in Center City.  Expect light winds.

Friday:  Variably cloudy skies, not as cold as today.   We'll probably have some "extra" sunshine in the morning before skies become mostly cloudy.  Highs will range from the low 40's in the Lehigh Valley to the upper 40's to the south.  Winds will nudge to the southeast at 5-10 mph.   Some light rain/sleet/freezing rain could cross north of I-80 on Friday night but should not impact the Philly area.

Weekend Sneak Peek:   Warmer but not a sun-splashed weekend.   Temperatures will nudge towards 60 on Saturday with mild south and southwest breezes helping to pull additional warmth northward.   Rain (and some thunder) will move through the region after Midnight on Saturday Night, continuing through much of Sunday.    We'll talk more about the rain threat later on this evening.
