March 14th, 2011 Forecast

A cool front will push some cooler air into the region for the start of the work week but the "cool down" will not be much -- temperatures hanging out around average for mid March with a mix of sun and clouds isn't too terrible to deal with and the fact we are getting a couple of dry days is a good thing as well.

Tonight:   Skies will feature a few passing clouds overnight, with winds diminishing after sunset.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 20's outside of the city to the mid 30's in Center City.  Winds will taper off to around 5 mph after sunset.

Monday:  Sunshine will mix with passing clouds, with more clouds expected the farther north you are.  Expect high temperatures in the upper 40's to around 50 degrees.   Winds will be north-northwesterly around 10 mph.

The Week Ahead:   We could have our first official 70 degree day of the year on Friday if everything breaks right.   In the interim, expect sun giving way to clouds later on Tuesday and a chance of rain on Wednesday as a weak system scoots through from the southwest.   Milder and then warmer air works in for Thursday and Friday, with temperatures in the 60's on Thursday and perhaps touching 70 on Friday as a cold front approaches.  The front comes through with a shower on Friday evening, cooling us off for the weekend as high temperatures drop back into the 50's.
