March 3rd, 2011 Forecast

A cold front is on the march today and will slap us back into a brief reminder of chilly weather.  Despite bright sunshine tomorrow, temperatures will be nearly 20 degrees colder tomorrow than they are today.  March is fickle and cold fronts can still pack some bite.  However, those effects will be short lived as temperatures will quickly rebound by the end of the week.

Tonight:   Winds will draw colder and lip-busting dry air into the region (dewpoints near zero).  It will be breezy to windy at times this evening as winds gust to 30 mph, with winds slowly winding down late tonight.   Skies will generally transition clear overnight, with lows in the teens in the colder outlying areas to the low 20's in Center City.

Thursday:  Sunshine but colder than today, with winds tapering off during the day.  Expect highs in the 34-38 range across the region.  Early breezes at 10-16 mph will taper off to around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Coming This Evening:   A look back at the past winter's temperatures.
