Summery For The Fourth of July

Today looks like a typical 4th of July day -- a good deal of sun mixed with clouds from time to time, very warm temperatures that hit the 90 degree mark locally this afternoon, and the threat of an isolated thunderstorm popping up later on today.   While we will not be pursuing a record high today (that's 103), it will definitely be a warm one.

Regarding the thunder threat, any storms that do pop will be isolated in nature.  Storms should pop in the afternoon from Philly on south and at the Shore as the last remnants of yesterday's trough/front linger and provide the spark to fire a storm or a few storms up.   Not everyone gets wet but if you're south of town or east of town, you have a shot of getting a 20-30 minute storm to move through later on.  The farther north and west one resides, the lower the humidity levels while temperatures will still be pretty warm...but your storm chances are lower north than they are south.
