Blast From The Past: Christmas Eve in July

Back in the days where Hurricane Schwartz was still sporting a 'stache and NBC 10 was naming winter storms (Winter Storm Albert?  Really?), a Christmas Eve overrunning event of snow and some initial sleet approached the region to start the Christmas holiday.    On a warm summer's night in the Delaware Valley, sit back and chill as this video from YouTube takes us back to December 23rd, 1998 as the region's local media stir over a three to five inch forecast and a two inch reality.   All that's missing from the video coverage was a trip to ACME in Bala Cynwyd...even the stock footage of the salt yard was included.

Alas, Winter Storm Albert did not live up to the hype...but it's fun to sit back and actually see that the more things change, the more things stay the same.
