After a nice, but warm weekend we're going to see the ratcheting of humidity again for a couple of days in advance of a cool front that will cross the region on Tuesday afternoon (with thunderstorms). While tomorrow will be warmer and more humid, the worst of the humidity will come on Tuesday where the heat index will probably feel close to or over 100 degrees. I would not be surprised if we have a heat advisory or warning out in the region then.
Until then, it's just gonna be warm. Tonight's lows will range from the mid 60's in the cooler burbs to the lower 70's in the city with light winds. Tomorrow features a mainly sunny sky with some isolated thunderstorms possible late in the day to our west and northwest (I think Central PA on west). High temperatures will range from the low/mid 80's at the Shore to 93 inland. Humidity levels will bring the heat index to as high as 95.
Week Ahead: Tuesday looks pretty nasty from a heat/humidity standpoint but a cool front should bring relief -- and probably some thunderstorms to the region as well. This front will push south of the region and will bring lower humidity to the region and temperatures that are "typical" for mid summer. Expect highs for the rest of the week in the middle 80's with lows in the 60's, plus tolerable humidity levels for Wednesday through Friday. We could see humidity return somewhat this next weekend, perhaps with some shower chances on Sunday.
