July 7th, 2011 Forecast

A weak frontal boundary will move into the region tomorrow and bring a brief respite from the 90 degree run we're currently under.   The pop up thunder threat that will commence shortly this afternoon in spots will continue tomorrow, with thunder a bit more numerous around the region thanks to the presence of the approaching frontal boundary, and also continue on Friday as the front stalls out near the city.   Humidity levels will be on the increase over the next day or so before we get some relief from the muggies for the weekend.

Any thunder that pops up over the next couple of hours will dissipate after sunset, with mostly clear skies overnight and low temperatures in the upper 60's to low/mid 70's across the region.   Highs tomorrow will range from the mid 80's at the Shore to between 88 (northwest) and 94 (Delaware) across inland areas.   Thunderstorm activity will pop after 2 PM, likely in Central Pennsylvania, and work through the afternoon.   Not everyone gets thundered on tomorrow but there will be some locally stronger storms in spots (gusty winds, locally heavy rainfall, typical summer thunderstorm activity).

We'll provide an update on Thursday's thunder threat tomorrow morning.
